Falyn has worked with neurodiverse children and adults in a variety of roles for over 16 years. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a credentialed teacher, and was recognized as a Nationally Board Certified Teacher for Exceptional Needs. She has her Master's degree in Special Education and a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Falyn has worked as a classroom teacher in large school districts as well as an Instructional Coach to support teachers. She has particular expertise in young students on the Autism Spectrum, including those with high-support needs; classroom management and individualized support with Positive Behavior Support; and inclusion. She has experience providing large-scale professional development, particularly in Positive, Non-aversive, Behavior Supports.
She also has ample experience in writing and teaching coursework to pre-service and intern teachers. Falyn is the co-writer of course-sequence for an Early Childhood Special Education Credential approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
Falyn has particular passions around Neurodiversity, inclusion, non-aversive behavior support, trauma-informed intervention, and family support. When not working, Falyn is the mom of two children and both are Neurodivergent.
